(Punjab): Hessians Sugar Factory of Jaranwala has announced Rs 200/- price for mun
sugarcane, the highest ever announced by the factories in the district. It is
very costly in a agri-base country. We are working to increase per acre yield in
all Pakistan so the prices must be in control.
We
had introduced pit planting method to increase the production of sugarcane.
Last year our researcher got 2500-3000 Mun sugarcane from one acre. We are
developing the awarance to farmers and motivate them to adopt this method. Many
of them agreed and starting to work out on this style of sowing the sugarcane crop.
Last year September and February about 100 acre in district Faisalabad sowed
and crops are stood lash green and hopefully the results will be positive
inshallah.
